Systech’s unique combination of technology and services ensure its customers will be prepared for DSCSA November compliance deadline
Systech, a leading provider of digital identification and traceability software solutions, is guiding companies in the pharmaceutical supply chain to meet the upcoming November 27 interoperability deadline established by the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). This includes recent guidance from the Partnership for DSCSA Governance (PDG), an organization to which Systech belongs and has contributed. Systech continuously enhances its comprehensive traceability solution and based on the most recent industry guidelines has announced a series of innovative services to ensure new and existing customers can see a clear path to meeting DSCSA interoperability requirements.
Systech has proven itself over decades in the highly regulated and rigorous pharmaceutical arena with reliable and configurable packaging execution systems and serialization software. With the advent of DSCSA, Systech has led the way in delivering technology solutions that enable DSCSA-Konformität. The Systech platform is uniquely capable of creating product data at the line level and delivering meaningful value from that data throughout the supply chain. Systech provides a complete traceability solution across the pharmaceutical supply chain ecosystem, from manufacturers, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), contract packaging organizations (CPOs) and distributors, to third-party logistics providers, dispensers and regulatory bodies.
Systech is further supporting DSCSA compliance with new services for manufacturers that will help them understand what they must do to meet the Enhanced Drug Security Requirements. Leveraging its proven traceability platform, three new service packages—readiness GAP review, compliance testing and master organizational validation— will guide customers through this final DSCSA hurdle, freeing up their operational bandwidth to focus on their business. These services will help ensure all endpoint data connections, product registrations, authorized trading partner verifications and record keeping are in place.
Enhancements to its platform and the introduction of these new services are inspired by Systech’s participation in working sessions with PDG and the Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA). Systech has also been at the forefront of conducting successful interoperability testing with the major wholesale distributors in the United States. For its efforts, the company has been named a “ready” Verification Router Service (VRS) solution provider by the Open Credential Initiative (OCI).
“DSCSA is expected to solidify the protection of the entire domestic drug supply chain and ensure patient safety. This aligns with Systech’s mission since its inception,” said Girish Juneja, GM, Systech, and SVP and CDO of Dover Corporation. “As the pioneer of pharmaceutical serialization and a global leader in traceability solutions for the industry, we are proud to have worked with the PDG on reviewing and finalizing their recommendations and are equally excited to offer these new services to help our customers meet the latest requirements.”
Deployed in thousands of global implementations, Systech’s comprehensive platform enables customers to address both regulatory and business requirements by knowing what is happening to a given product at every stage of its journey. Systech’s comprehensive yet turnkey solutions are easily configured and work seamlessly.
As the 2023 DSCSA deadline quickly approaches, Systech will continue to lend its expertise to help companies understand the nuances of the regulations and address their complexities.
